Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Factory HR professional to manage end-to-end human resource operations at our manufacturing facility. The role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, statutory compliance, attendance and payroll coordination, performance management, and employee engagement while ensuring a productive and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for factory and plant employees, including operators, supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Coordinate onboarding, induction, and documentation for new hires.
- Partner with department heads to fulfill manpower requirements within defined timelines.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage joining formalities, confirmations, transfers, promotions, resignations, and exit formalities.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends.
Attendance & Payroll Support
- Monitor daily attendance, shifts, overtime, and leave records.
- Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure accurate salary processing.
- Resolve employee queries related to attendance, leave, and payroll.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate activities related to PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Labour Welfare Fund, and other statutory obligations.
- Support labour inspections and maintain statutory registers and documentation.
Employee Relations
- Foster healthy employee relations and maintain a positive work culture.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies.
- Facilitate communication between management and factory employees.
Performance & Training
- Coordinate performance appraisal activities for factory employees.
- Identify training needs and organize skill development, safety, and compliance training programs.
- Track training effectiveness and maintain training records.
HR Operations
- Maintain HRMIS and employee databases.
- Prepare HR reports on manpower, absenteeism, attrition, recruitment, and compliance.
- Support HR audits and process improvements.
Health, Safety & Welfare
- Work closely with the EHS and Administration teams to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
- Promote employee welfare initiatives and engagement activities.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or MSW is preferred.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Factory HR, Plant HR, or Manufacturing HR.
- Experience in retail manufacturing, FMCG, apparel, footwear, consumer durables, or similar industries is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in labour law compliance and factory HR operations is essential.
