Inventory Executive
Department: Store Operations / Warehouse
Location: Mumbai
Job Summary
The Inventory Executive is responsible for managing store inventory, warehouse operations, stock movement, and inventory accuracy. The role involves coordinating stock inward and outward activities, verifying Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), maintaining inventory records in SAP/WMS, and ensuring timely stock availability while minimizing discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day warehouse and inventory operations efficiently.
• Receive stock from distribution centre, ensuring accurate quantity.
• Prepare and verify Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) against purchase orders and delivery challans.
• Process stock inward and outward transactions in SAP or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure real-time stock updates in the system.
• Monitor stock movement between warehouse, sales floor, and other store locations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Identify inventory discrepancies, investigate root causes, and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and store operations teams for smooth inventory flow.
• Support inventory planning by monitoring stock levels and highlighting replenishment requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and safety standards.
• Assist during store audits and provide required inventory documentation.
Required Skills
• Sound knowledge of warehouse and inventory management processes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Good understanding of Goods Receipt Note (GRN), stock reconciliation, and inventory control.
• Knowledge of stock inward, outward, transfers, and return processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
• 1–4 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or retail store operations.
• Experience in organized retail, preferably consumer electronics or large-format retail stores.
• Minimum education qualification is HSC or SSC Plus 3 years Diploma.
