Job description
We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Placement Manager to lead our student placement initiatives. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with technology companies, identify hiring opportunities, prepare students for recruitment processes, and ensure successful placements. This role requires excellent networking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT companies, startups, product-based companies, and recruitment agencies.
Generate placement opportunities through regular employer outreach and business development.
Schedule campus drives, walk-ins, virtual hiring events, and recruitment campaigns.
Negotiate hiring partnerships, internship programs, and placement collaborations.
Student Placement Management
Guide students through the placement process from registration to final selection.
Match student profiles with suitable job opportunities based on skills and career aspirations.
Monitor placement readiness and maintain placement pipelines.
Track interview schedules, selection status, and joining confirmations.
Career Development
Conduct resume-building workshops and LinkedIn profile optimization sessions.
Organize mock interviews, aptitude tests, group discussions, and technical interview preparation.
Provide career counseling and interview feedback to improve employability.
Help students understand industry expectations and hiring trends.
Employer Engagement
Coordinate with hiring managers and recruiters to understand job requirements.
Share qualified student profiles with employers.
Arrange pre-placement talks, technical assessments, and interview logistics.
Ensure a smooth recruitment experience for both students and employers.
Data & Reporting
Maintain an updated database of students, recruiters, interview schedules, and placement records.
Prepare weekly and monthly placement reports.
Track placement KPIs, conversion ratios, employer engagement, and student outcomes.
Analyze placement data to identify improvement opportunities.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with trainers to ensure students meet industry skill requirements.
Coordinate with the admissions and academic teams regarding student eligibility.
Collaborate with marketing for employer branding, placement success stories, and hiring events.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in placement management, recruitment, talent acquisition, or corporate relations.
Experience in the EdTech, training, staffing, or IT recruitment industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of the technology hiring ecosystem and current recruitment practices.
