Job description

The PPC Manager translates the demand and sales plan into an executable production schedule, balancing capacity, material availability, inventory and on-time delivery. The role is the central link between sales, procurement, stores and the shop floor — keeping production flowing smoothly while minimising inventory and stock-outs.

Key Responsibilities

•     Prepare and maintain the master production schedule (daily / weekly / monthly) aligned to demand and capacity.

•     Carry out capacity planning and load balancing across machines, lines and shifts.

•     Drive material requirement planning (MRP) and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of paper, glue and consumables.

•     Monitor production progress against plan, identify bottlenecks and re-schedule to protect delivery commitments.

•     Manage raw-material, WIP and finished-goods inventory to optimal levels; reduce ageing and dead stock.

•     Coordinate with sales / customer service on order status, lead times and delivery commitments (OTIF).

•     Maintain and improve PPC dashboards, MIS and reporting using ERP / planning tools and Excel.

•     Track and improve plan-adherence, schedule attainment and forecast accuracy.

•     Support S&OP discussions and provide data-driven inputs on capacity, constraints and lead times.

•     Drive process discipline around BOMs, routings and production data accuracy in the ERP.
