ABOUT THE ROLE

 Head – Global Sourcing & International Business Development

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT OF THE ROLE :-

1) Industrial Manufacturing background has to be there

2) The person will be responsible for expanding company's global engineering business by building a strong Indian supplier ecosystem and developing international OEM/customer relationships.

3) Someone who understands engineering manufacturing in India and can connect Indian manufacturers with international customers.

The role will primarily involve:

• Identifying, evaluating, and developing reliable manufacturers across India who can supply engineering and industrial components to international customers.
• Visiting and assessing manufacturers based on their technical capabilities, machinery, capacity, quality systems, certifications, pricing, and ability to meet international standards.
• Building and maintaining a strong network of Indian manufacturers across castings, forgings, machining, fabrication, precision engineering, and related manufacturing processes.
• Identifying and developing international customers across markets such as North America, Europe, and the Middle East who are looking to source industrial and engineering products from India.
• Building relationships with international OEMs, industrial manufacturers, procurement teams, sourcing managers, and other B2B customers.
• Managing customer RFQs by understanding drawings and technical requirements, identifying the appropriate Indian manufacturer, obtaining competitive pricing, and submitting quotations to customers.
• Managing the complete process from RFQ and supplier selection through sampling, qualification, negotiation, production, quality inspection, export, and final delivery.
• Negotiating pricing, commercial terms, lead times, and other requirements with both Indian manufacturers and international customers.

We are looking for someone with 25 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, particularly in sourcing, supplier development, engineering exports, and/or international business development.

The person must have strong knowledge of the Indian manufacturing ecosystem and experience with engineering processes such as castings, forgings, CNC/VMC machining, fabrication, precision components, and industrial assemblies.

The ideal candidate should be technically strong enough to understand engineering drawings and manufacturing requirements, while also having the commercial and business-development ability to independently acquire international customers.

Existing relationships with Indian manufacturers and international industrial customers would be a major advantage.

The role will involve regular travel within India for supplier development and international travel for customer development.
