Job Title: Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.
• Review electrical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Calculate quantities of materials, equipment, labour, and other project resources.
• Prepare rate analysis and detailed estimation sheets.
• Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare commercial quotations and tender documentation.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and engineering teams for accurate costing.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project requirements.
• Maintain estimation records and update pricing databases.
• Assist in preparing tender submissions and commercial proposals.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within deadlines.
• Monitor changes in material prices and project requirements.

  Required Skills

  • Good knowledge of electrical estimation and costing.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and BOQs.
  • Knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and installation processes.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and estimation software/tools.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of tendering and quotation processes is an advantage.

    Educational Qualification

    • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
    • Diploma in Electrical Engineering candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
